Women in Transport is thrilled to announce a newly formed partnership with Capita, the winner of National Technology Award 2024. Operating across 8 countries, Capita’s 41,000 colleagues support primarily UK and European clients with people-based services underpinned by market-leading technology.
Capita is committed to their DEI and are very proud of their progress, awards and achievements garnered over the years, including the Silver Talent Inclusion and Diversity Evaluation (TIDE) Award, being ranked 18 out of 400 on the Forbes global list of top employers for women, Charities Trust Payroll Giving Gold Award, and the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) A List Award.
They are committed to be a net zero organisation by 2045.
Sonya Byers, CEO at Women in Transport, expressed her excitement regarding the new partnership:
"We are delighted to welcome Capita to the Women in Transport network. Their support demonstrates their ongoing commitment to DEI and will help us continue driving progress towards a more inclusive and equitable transport sector. I am particularly thrilled that Capita will be supporting our 20th Anniversary celebrations, helping us mark two decades of impact, and celebrate our incredible volunteers and supporters in this momentous year."
Gavin Dunkley, Managing Director of Transport added:
We’re excited to have recently joined Women in Transport, a network dedicated to advancing equality, diversity, and inclusion in the transport sector. At Capita, we believe transport should be for everyone, and so should the opportunities within it. By being part of this network, we’re supporting the push for greater representation, celebrating the contributions of women, and working towards a more inclusive industry where talent and innovation thrive—regardless of gender. We look forward to learning from and collaborating with this brilliant team.
