Ever wanted to drive an all-terrain vehicle?

Wanted to know more about how women play a vital role in military and defence driving across the UK and beyond?
Women In Transport (Yorkshire) is proud to be offering this exclusive opportunity to tour the incredible Defence School of Transport, near Beverley, East Yorkshire. With an exclusive tour with commandant, Laura Craig-Braddock, the opportunity to tour the base with a coachful of Women In Transport members, and the option to try out their nausea-inducing driver training simulator…we are told the simulator is not for the faint-hearted*!

The Defence School of Transport (DST) was formed in 1996 as the 'Centre of Excellence' for driver training for personnel from the Army, Royal Air Force and Royal Marines. The school provides over 94 different course types to over 10,000 trainees from all three Services and to personnel from other Government departments. This size of operation makes DST the largest residential driver training school in the world.

*Simulator access very much optional!

Please note: For accessibility the tour is not suitable for those with limited mobility due to the terrain and facilities.

This event is open to Women in Transport members only. If you would like to become a member with us please click here.
